We offer 2 choices of private guiding for "Powder Guide".
1) Powder Guide in the resort.
2) Lift accessed backcountry
1) Powder Guide in the resort
We guide you around in the resort. There are lots of tree runs where we can enjoy powder even in the ski resort.
That's sometimes better than going backcountry because we don't need to carry lots of safety gears and we can do so many laps by lifts.
Highly recommended for pre-backcountry trip.
Time & Price
AM8:30-11:30 or AM9:00-12:00
(Duration: 3hours)
20,000yen (it covers up to 2people)
*+3,000yen for additional person.
2)Lift accessed backcountry
This will let you know the reason why Niseko is the special destination.
We use lifts and go out from the gates at top of the resort. This is much much easier than normal backcountry trip at other ski resort. We usually need some boot-pack hiking for 20-30minutes, but that's all.
*Need avalanche safety equipments etc. Not for powder beginners.
Time & Price
AM8:30 - PM1:00
(Duration: 4-5hours *depends on conditions)
28,000yen (it covers up to 2 people)
*+5,000yen for additional person, max.4people.
Please take a note for powder adventure
The outdoor activities during our powder guiding are inherently dangerous. You will be asked to sign a Waiver to acknowledge the risks of the activities you will undertake, and to release NGSA and its guides from any responsibility due to the inherent nature of risk and the dangers involved.
Especially for backcountry tours, we need to ensure that every member who is joining the tour has the necessary skills and ability to deal with the terrain that we will go confidently.
On the day of the backcountry tour, please come prepared. Before heading out of the patrolled area we need to ensure that every member of the group has own avalanche safety equipments. and to ski with you to assess your ability to tackle the terrain.
(*We have some avalanche transceivers for hire.)
The guide will be Toshi Sakamoto (with Telemark ski) who is strongly involved in
- NWGA (Niseko Winter Guide Association) and
- TAJ(Telemark ski Association of Japan).
He is also certified by
- ISIA(International Ski Instructor Association) and

These pictures are some of trainings he has been doing for safety with NWGA etc...
